Once I entered a pageant
A winner they thought I'd be
Everyone thinks I'm wonderful
That is everyone except me.
I know that I'm no beauty
Though a queen they thought I'd be
Everyone says I'm beautiful

Rehearsal time was disastrous
Though great they thought I'd be
Everyone thought I'd do the best
That is everyone except me.
Then overnight a change occurs
A change that no one can see
Everyone sees the same ole girl
That is everyone except me.
The emcee announces the newly crowned queen
They're surprised that it's not me
Everyone thought I'd be the queen
That is everyone except me..
The pageant is over and home they'll go
Though shocked and disappointed they'd be
Everyone thinks I lost that night
That is everyone except me.
It seems that now I see myself
I care what I will be
Thank God for the Pageant
Thanks to them now, I like me.
