                                                                 A RESOLUTION 
                                     
                                      1- 1  Commending Nikki Hartzog; and for other purposes. 
                                     
                                      1- 2  WHEREAS, Nikki Hartzog won the 1999 Miss Georgia Forestry 
                                      1- 3  banner and crown at the State Forestry Pageant in Tifton, 
                                      1- 4  Georgia, on June 19, 1999; and 
                                     
                                      1- 5  WHEREAS, Nikki is the daughter of Susie and Freddie Hartzog 
                                      1- 6  of Attapulgus, Georgia, in Decatur County where she won the 
                                      1- 7  county title as Miss Decatur County Forestry; and 
                                     
                                      1- 8  WHEREAS, she was a member of the Forestry Team and of Future 
                                      1- 9  Farmers of America at Bainbridge High School where she was 
                                      1-10  an honor graduate in 1998; and 
                                     
                                      1-11  WHEREAS, Nikki has earned various other titles and honors 
                                      1-12  including Miss Swine Time and Miss Southwest Georgia Noel in 
                                      1-13  1997, Miss Dogwood in 1996, Lions Club Rodeo Queen in 1995, 
                                      1-14  and Junior Miss Swine Time in 1993; and 
                                     
                                      1-15  WHEREAS, Nikki received a $2,500.00 college scholarship with 
                                      1-16  her win and plans to attend Bainbridge College to earn a 
                                      1-17  degree in business administration in the hope that she will 
                                      1-18  manage her own beauty shop someday; and 
                                     
                                      1-19  WHEREAS, the discipline, dedication, and determination 
                                      1-20  demonstrated by Georgia's young people who set personal 
                                      1-21  goals and accomplishments deserve proper recognition and 
                                      1-22  praise. 
                                     
                                      1-23  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the 
                                      1-24  members of this body recognize and commend Nikki Hartzog on 
                                      1-25  winning the 1999 Miss Georgia Forestry title and convey to 
                                      1-26  her their very best wishes for success and happiness in her 
                                      1-27  future pursuits. 
                                     
                                      1-28  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is 
                                      1-29  authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of
