Kenneth Snow / Memorial Scholarships
Director's Award: This Award comes with a $500.00 scholarship and bronze trophy. This award is awarded to a non-finalist
Miss Contestant based on community, school, and church involvement. Joleigh Sartiana representing Dougherty County was the
recipient of the 2007 Director's Award.
Miss Academic Award: This Award comes with a $500.00 savings bond and trophy. This award is awarded to a non-finalist Miss
Contestant based on Academic Achievement. To be eligible contestants must submit to the State Forestry Pageant a copy of
her school or college transcript by June 1, 2008. Transcript must be current and include the 2007-2008 school year.
The
recipient of the 2007 Miss Kenneth Snow Academic Scholarship is Heidi Landon representing Screven County
Teen Miss Academic Award: This Award comes with a $500.00 savings bond and trophy. This award is awarded to a non-finalist
Teen Contestant based on Academic Achievement. To be eligible contestants must submit a copy of her school transcript by
June 1, 2008. Transcript must be current and include the 2007-2008 school year.
The 2007 Recipient of the Teen Miss
Kenneth Snow Academic Scholarship Winner is Isabella Connor representing Tift County
Howard Bennett Award: This Award goes to a Local Ranger that goes beyond the call of duty to help support the Georgia Forestry
Pageant and the Georgia Forestry Queens. The Ranger will receive a plaque and his name will be placed on the Howard Bennett
plaque that hangs in the Howard Bennett Museum in Macon. Byron Haire of the Screven County Forestry Unit was the recipient
of the 2007 Howard Bennett Award.
Bob Lazenby Helping Hand Award: This Award goes to an individual that is always willing
to help and support the Georgia Forestry Pageant. This person does what ever it takes to ensure the success of the pageant.
The recipient receives a plaque. Todd Wells was the 2007 recipient of the Helping Hand Award.
Local Director's Award: This award goes to the Local Director that not only puts her pageant first but, works very hard to
help in the success of the pageants of her fellow Directors. The Director that is always there for her fellow Directors and
her queens. Wyndey Enfinger of Early County was the recipient of the 2007 Director's Award.
Spirit Award: This award goes to an individual that keeps the spirit of the Directors and contestants up. She is always
there for advice and support. Victoria Lovett of Bleckley, Peach, Houston, and Bibb County was the recipient of the 2007
Spirit Award.
